Optional Expanded Viewfinder

Standard viewfinders reduce original image size for full view of the corners and shooting data. The Inon 45 degree viewfinder is a prism optic that greatly magnifies original image size and thus reduces eye strain and improves composition. The Inon 45 rotates for vertical use. Price includes custom installation.

Overview / Product Description

The new style MDX series housings are precision machined from solid blocks of aluminum and have a more aggressive design by integrating smooth curves and sharp edges. The MDX-5D MkII housing has been cut thinner than conventional models to reduce size while maintaining rigidity.

The compact design allows the user to reach the main dial and the quick control dial more easily. By adjusting the chassis inside the housing the quick control dial has been moved closer to the grip than on conventional models so shutter/aperture adjustment is further improved. This all adds up to provide comfortable and intuitive handling.

Almost all the Canon EOS 5D Mark II's essential functions can be accessed underwater.

A highly corrosion resistant, anodized coating. The coating protects the housing from environmental corrosion and abrasions.

Two bulkhead connectors as standard: one type-N connector (2-pin wired for manual) and one 6-pin wired connector (for dedicated TTL).

YS-Converter connector fitted as standard. The included 6-pin wired connector accepts the optional YS converter/C. The converter works with YS-Series strobes to provide automatic TTL flash adjustment.

Bump protector guard on the lower front part of the housing, which is more susceptible to damage.

Tripod socket fitted on the underside of the main body. By removing the attached ergo grips the optional quick release Grip-Stay L can be use instead.

Equipped with a 0.5x pick-up viewfinder as standard. Optional interchangeable 0.66x/0.8x viewfinders are also available.

Quick shoe mount, makes the camera easy to install and remove from the housing.

A built-in leak detector, immediately alerts you to any water leakage.

Strong and durable build with a depth rating of up to 60 m (200 ft.)
