Quality Construction
The heavy duty thick wall dSLR housing is molded of corrosion free clear polycarbonate, features full capabilities, and operates safely to 200 feet.
Built-in TTL circuitry
Built-in conversion circuitry for true Canon eTTL puts automatic flash exposure at your fingertips. The TTL mode provides four half f/stop increments over or under flash compensation to fine-tune exposure. Eight manual power settings in half-stop increments allow for complete creative control.
Essential Control
The Ikelite digital SLR housing for the Canon 40D and 50D provides all essential camera controls. Oversized knobs and levers make operation easy with large diving gloves.
Visual Confirmation
If this is your first housing, you'll find comfort in the ability to clearly inspect your dry camera inside the housing. The transparent polycarbonate case will allow you to view the workings of the mechanical controls and periodically reassure yourself that you sufficiently cleaned your o-rings.
Lens Port Options
As a general rule, most lenses require different ports. Wide angle lenses need a dome port while macro lenses require a flat port. Optically, the Ikelite line offers great macro lens sharpness. With the addition of the new modular 8 inch dome system to the Ikelite line, wide angle photography with a variety of lenses is available.
