Backscatter AOI QRS Quick Release Lens System Installation Guide
The Backscatter AOI Quick Release Lens System (QRS) offers a convenient way to store and swap lenses for AOI and Backscatter lenses. When used with the Backscatter Double Handle and Tray and The Arch, the Backscatter AOI QRS Single Lens Holder positions the lens in a safe, easily accessible spot without affecting buoyancy, as it’s not mounted on an arm. The QRS allows you to quickly release and "burp" the lens—releasing air bubbles trapped between the lens and port with a simple quarter turn—rather than fully threading it on and off. This not only speeds up lens changes but also reduces wear on the threads of both the lens and housing.
