We've beefed up the thickness of this aluminum bracket for rock solid tripod use and is now half the price of our original model. The bracket is adapted to fir in the botom for all major Bluefin and Stingray housing brands. Use your existing Ultralight or TLC arms as tripod legs or add the new 11-18 inch adjustable Ultralight legs for maximum flexibility.

Our original custom tripod brackets are in use around the world and inspired the Gates tripod design. Now that people are looking to shooting rocksteady HD video, we decided to work with our friends at XIT 404 to produce a custom solution for much lower price. Each tripod plate includes (3) ball mounts. Simply add your favorite legs and clamps for a complete tripod system.

Take the shake out of your video!
The most common difference between professional and amateur video is the use of a tripod. You might be shooting an amazing critter, but even one wiggle or wobble can ruin the clip. Flip down one leg for monopod mode or lock down all three legs for rock steady images and take the quality of your footage to the next level.

Super low shooting angles:
Low shooting angles are essential to visually separate the subject from the background. Unlike traditional land tripods, our design allows the housing to be less than 1.5 inches off the bottom or as high as your choice of leg lengths.

Always-on design is boat deck friendly:
Traditional land tripods are a pain to mount and dismount in the water. If you leave the tripod on, the housing is unstable on the boat. Our design can be left on the housing at all times. Simply flip the legs up when sitting on the boat deck. Once in the water flip the legs toward you like a gunstock to spread out your hands and stabilize mid-water shots. Flip down and lock one, two or all three legs when shooting on the bottom. If you know you will not need a tripod for the next dive, leave the lightweight plate in place and simply remove the legs and clamps. No more fumbling with clumsy land tripods and the legs are quickly added when your dive plans change.

Mount your Light & Motion lights direct to the bracket:
Our design allows you to mount Light & Motion battery pods direct to the bracket with the included pod locker. If you're using the larger Light & Motion Sunray LED 2000 or HID lights, you might want to add StiX buoyancy floats to the system for mid-water shooting to counter act the added weight.

Add adjustable legs to complete your system:
Our simple design allows the use of any Ultralight or TLC arm as a tripod leg. For maximum flexibility add the new Ultralight adjustable tripod legs for an 11-18 inch range.
