Overview / Product Description
Seatool has created the smallest high definition (HDV) underwater video housing on the market. The new Seatool SHV-HC7 fits the Sony HC7 and HC9 cameras like a glove and the HDV images look fantastic. The Seatool SHV-HC7/HC9 is a perfect solution for the ultra light traveler. At only 1.5kg (3.3lbs.) it packs light for carry-on convenience.
Ultra compact size
The SeaTool SHV-HC7/HC9 is downright tiny (7.3 x 4.4 x 7.7 inch). The Sony HDR-HC7 and HC9 cameras slip into the SeaTool housing with a glove fit making it the smallest HDV underwater housing on the market.
LCD monitor mirror
An adjustable mirror on a ball joint allows full view of the built-in LCD monitor on the camera while shooting. Cleaver circuitry in the housing flips the image to correct for the mirror image reversal. The ball joint allows viewing from multiple angles.
Three position adjustable control handle
With a press of a button, you can rotate the control handle for ergonomics or to pack flat for travel. Push button controls include Power on, Zoom, REC, Shutter, AF/MF switch, Strobe mode switch, Shooting mode switch, Playback functions (play, fast forward, rewind, stop).
67mm mount for external macro and wide lens
The standard and pro versions of SeaTool SHV-HC7/HC9 will accept the 67mm external wide and macro lenses from Inon. However, the wide lens will vignette slightly on the standard version and requires the camera to be slightly zoomed. The pro version of the SeaTool SHV-HC7 does not have the internal color correction filter allowing the wide lens to be positioned closer avoiding the vignetting problem. Most users choose the standard version and simply zoom a touch to avoid the vignetting.
Internal flip-in color correction filter
The standard version of the SeaTool SHV-HC7/HC9 has a flip-in color correction filter for quick changes from artificial to ambient light use. Tucked safely inside the housing, the filter is safe from scratches and damage.
