- PA-R is backward compatible with RED DSMC2 (Raven / Weapon / Scarlet-W, Weapon, Monstro), original DSMC platform (Scarlet / Epic / Dragon), and ARRI Mini cameras.
- PA-R utilizes the integrated external monitor housing, Transvideo Starlite
What’s included in the Upgrade:
- Raptor Adapter. Positions DSMC3 RAPTOR perfectly for use with compact PL / Canon EF / Nikon F mount lenses, and newer Canon RF mount lenses, like the LAOWA 9 / 12 / 15 Zero-D super compact primes.
- Interface cables. Pro Action was built with multi-camera support in mind. Housing interface cables specific to DMSC / DSMC2 / ARRI Mini cameras allow for each camera to receive power and R/S inputs. A new set of power and R/S cables for RAPTOR is straightforward.
- Backup Manual Record. Right side control of ABCD assignables on DSMC2 is switched out to a backup record / stop control for RAPTOR.

- ARRI Mini. Camera. Recording media.
FAQ’s
- Can I use the integrated External Monitor with this upgrade? Yes indeed! The integrated External Monitor for the Transvideo Starlite is compatible with all cameras.
- Can I use existing RED External Monitors e.g. RTB7 or RT47? Unfortunately, no. RED LCD’s compatible with DSMC2 are not so with DSMC3.
- How fast is the housing changeover from Mini / DSMC / DSMC2 / DSMC3 cameras in Pro Action - RAPTOR? 15 to 45 minutes depending on familiarity.
- What limitations exist using DSMC3 RAPTOR in PA-R? Pro Action was designed as a ‘set and forget’ system for fast action scenarios. This remains consistent with DMSC3 RAPTOR. Controls are System Power, R/S, backup R/S and 2x Lens Gear Drives.
