Only the Backscatter custom housing offers sharp focus, no vignetting, and underwater removable filters. GoPro finally came out with a flat lens housing to solve the underwater focus problem. Due to popular demand, we have continued production on our custom housing as hundreds of our customers are still asking for the flexibility of underwater removable filters.
  • The standard GoPro housing has blurry focus underwater.
  • The new GoPro Dive housing does not accept removable filters.
  • We take the standard GoPro housing and hotrod it with our custom glass lens and machined aluminum filter mount.
  • Only our custom filter mount allows you to add or remove filters underwater.
  • Use any creative filter (55mm) above and below water for special effects and exposure correction.
  • No messy glue, professionally installed, and pressure tested to 180 feet.
  • We remove the original dome port to prevent image killing reflections.
  • Unlike the new GroPro Dive, our housing features a rubber gasket to prevent image killing flare.
  • Unlock your creativity above and below the water with our filter options.

* Manufacturing variance in your GoPro Hero housing / camera / filter might cause shadowed corners. Hero camera is more forgiving than Hero 2 camera. Remove 55mm filter element from threaded ring and use o-ring mount if your filter ring is too thick and causes shadowed corners. Test your configuration before critical use.
** Final image must be cropped to 16:9 format to avoid shadowed corners
