XIT 404 Quad Ball Adapter with 2 Balls
The XIT404 Quad Ball Adapter with 2 Balls is just the thing for the person using both strobes and lights. The dual balls allow the shooter to independently control 2 different arm systems from one side of a housing. No more messing with clumsy triple clamps while attempting to get THE shot.
Install up to four balls on one mount base
Quad Balls ship standard with two ball mounts, but up to four balls can be installed on the Quad Ball base. Each Quad Ball features three angled positions and one straight up ball position. The angled ball positions prevent tangled clamps and can position a focus light over the housing.
Installing the ball mounts
Balls are not pre-installed on the Quad Ball base to allow you to select mounting positions that best suit your system. We recommend you use thread lock glue on installation. Our favorite thread lock is clear silicone glue (also known as tub and tile calk).
T groove plates required
The Quad Ball mounts to T groove plates which are standard on most housings. If your housing or tray does not have T groove plates, you will need to add these inexpensive items. A hex key is included to securely lock the Quad Ball to the T plate.
Optional lanyard mounts
These lanyard mounts can be installed in any of the angled holes.
