Subal ND500 Underwater Housing for Nikon D500 DSLR Camera

This Subal ND500 housing is a milestone in the Subal history. It is very ergonomic and is the lightest housing Subal has ever made. The ND500 has all important functions next to the handle and is easy to operate. It has the new Subal locking system, which is very easy to open and close and still offers you a secure system. No adjustment on the camera is necessary to install the camera. Just screw the fast-changing plate on the camera and slide this into the housing. All other switches are adjusting themselves in use.

The Subal ND500 has 2 optical ports and up to 3 bulkheads for 5pin or 6pin or Ikelite connectors or 2 bulkheads and use the third one to install the new Subal vacuum system (on market in October 2016 ). The electronic is placed on the leak alarm circuit boards and gives you a green light signal every 20 sec. All Subal viewfinder can be used and as well the 30_ prism, especially good for video use.

The housing is available in bayonet size Type 3 or Type 4 and soon in 5 (5 is a bigger port bayonet for using Zeiss lenses or others) coming in Nov 2016.Please pay attention that Zoom gears with 88 teeth are necessary, the ND500 doesn`t work with the old 80 teeth zoom gears.

As always Subal is using finest aluminum for their housings. Subal makes the special patented hard coating with 50 microns on it and finally, they put 2 layers on powder coating on top of it so it is the most protected housing against corrosion on the market. The housing can be ordered in different colors on request.
