The StingRay II is very popular among users that desire a high quality, user friendly housing with interchangeable optics and an affordable price. Each StingRay II model is custom machined to insure precise internal alignment with a select group of Sony TR and TRV series cameras. All StingRay II models are machined from lightweight aluminum and anodized to protect it from daily use.
The StingRay II is very user friendly and features a secure double o-ring seal. Rotary latches smoothly pull the rear plate into place. The radial double o-ring bore seal is easy to maintain and offers your camera double protection. Further protection is provided with the "no hole" control design. Located just inboard from the grips are the electro-magnetic controls. Each are positioned for quick access and control all major camera functions.
Optically, the StingRay is well proven and versatile. The standard Zoom-Macro Lens provides great wide-angle and full zoom macro capabilities. The optional Super Wide Angle Lens offers an increased field of view and even better zoom through macro capabilities. The optional Super Macro Lens is a limited field of view, but offers very stunning enlargements beyond life-size. The standard internal color correction filter can be flipped into place at any time and is safely hidden inside the housing.
