Viewfinder Caps are used to keep dust and debris out of the inside of the housing when the viewfinder has been removed. If you remove your viewfinder for storage, packing, or shipping to protect it from damage then this cap is a quick way to close up the opening. The cap is fabricated using impact resistant Red plastic. The cap is clearly marked "Not Waterproof". NOT WATERPROOF
